An American producer, writer, actor, and director. Macartney grew up in Bentonville, AR and started his career in Wilmington, NC interning at Ciné Partners and Panavision.
After an early screening of his film Insomniac at the Director's Forte Night at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival, Macartney spent the early years of his career as a producer at Walmart Television. Inspired by the works of Terrence Malick, Martin Scorsese, and Francois Truffaut, he is currently working on feature directorial debut with his screenplay American Vigor.
